What is Pop Art?
Pop art started in the 1950s. It challenged traditional art – instead of looking realistic, the artists used pictures from popular culture and added bright colors. Artists used images from comic books, advertising, even soup cans, or their own imaginations!
Our third-grade students are exhibiting their own attempts at pop art inspired by Peter Max.
