We are thrilled to announce that our Lakeview art teacher, Mrs. Elicia Gray, has been named the 2020 Elementary Educator of the Year by the Utah Art Education Association.

The award will be presented at the state 2020 UAEA Convention, February 27th-29th.

Mrs. Gray has a Masters Degree in Art Education from BYU and has taught everything from basic drawing to basket weaving.  She has been teaching for over 20 years and has taught in preschool, elementary, middle, junior high and high schools as well as college. According to Mrs. Gray, “I love being an art teacher because I get to learn new things every day and help students become creative problem solvers as they communicate complex ideas in a variety of different ways.”
