Recently, Provo School District shared news of the $10,000 hydroponics grant awarded to our fifth-grade classes by Green Our Planet.

Several weeks ago, each of our fifth-grade classes planted seeds in their own hydroponic planters.  Students have been monitoring the growth of their plants and recording results. On Friday, Mr. Thorn’s class was able to harvest all the lettuce they have been growing. Best of all, they enjoyed their harvest in a class salad bar! According to Mr. Thorn, several students went back for seconds!
