Teacher of the Year – Marilee Wing

It is our pleasure to announce Marilee Wing as Lakeview’s 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year. Marilee has spent her career in education making a positive difference in the lives of many children who have had the good fortune of being in her class over the past 23+ years. Mrs. Wing has high expectations of her students and provides them with the support and encouragement they need to be successful. Parents and students respect and appreciate her holding her students accountable for their learning. In doing so, she teaches her students responsibility, good character, and grit. Marilee’s dedication to her students and to the teaching profession is very evident. Her car is often the last one seen leaving the school parking lot. She spends hours beyond school preparing and planning for her students because she loves and cares about children. She exemplifies all the qualities of an outstanding educator and is very deserving of the title of Teacher of the Year. Congratulations Marilee!
