Our 2023 Read-A-Thon is starting this Saturday 11th! (Ends Monday 27th)

Watch out for the reminder flyer that is coming home with your child this Friday. If you’re already a fan of this fun fundraiser, go ahead and use this link to create your child’s account!

For those of you unfamiliar with Read-A-Thon:

  • They are a fundraising platform that many schools around the nation turn to, to raise money for their school while making it fun for the students to read as much as possible in an allotted period of time.
  • If a student participates purely for the joy of reading but does not receive any donations, they will still receive a small prize to be congratulated for reading.
  • However, students who receive donations from family and friends will keep 15% of the amount to buy prizes from the reward store after the reading period ends. This is all done on the Read-A-Thon website. The prizes will then get shipped out to our school, and distributed by the teachers during class time.
  • Raising funds is also an important part of this event because the money is then used by the PTA during the school year to provide events such as the Family Picnic, Reflections, Halloween Carnival, Safety Week, Teacher Appreciation Week, Teacher Awards, Kindness Week, Graduation, Lakeview Lion spirit wear, etc.

We hope this will be a fun fundraiser for our students! Thank you wonderful parents of Lakeview for your ongoing support!
