Halloween Plans for October 29, 2020

Due to COVID restrictions, Halloween will look a little different this year. Our parade will be held first thing Thursday morning inside of the school. We cannot allow visitors to come to the school to watch the parade so instead, we invite parents to watch the parade on Facebook.

Here’s the Plan:

  • Parents should send students to school ready in their costumes on Thursday, October 29. Kids will line up outside and come into the school like normal.
  • Students should still wear face masks with their costumes and may add a Halloween costume mask to wear just during the parade if they wish.
  • Students should not bring any weapons even if they are part of their costume.

Parade on Facebook Live:  Grade by grade, students will participate in the parade beginning at 8:40 am and proceeding as follows:

    • 8:40 am – 6th Grade
    • 8:50 am – 3rd Grade
    • 9:00 am – 4th Grade
    • 9:10 am – AM Kindergarten
    • 9:20 am – 1st Grade
    • 9:30 am – 2nd Grade
    • 9:40 am – 5th Grade
    • (PM Kindergarten will have their own parade at 11:30 am)

There will be two stops along the parade route. One in the library where the kids will be recorded on Facebook Live and one in the gym where kids will have photos taken.

Each grade will have its own Facebook Live video, which will be immediately posted to the Lakeview Facebook page for parents and other classes to watch.

Facebook Live Videos will stay available after the parade to watch later as well. Photos taken during the parade will be shared later on social media.
