Lakeview Elementary School

Summer Palmer is a paraprofessional at Lakeview Elementary–a place where it’s hard to stand out. And yet, even in a community where exceeding expectations is the norm, Summer shines brightly. She can be found in a Kindergarten classroom, guiding a student to join the class in a cooperative learning activity. She can be found in the hallway, working one-on-one with a third grader to build their writing skills and confidence. She can be found on the playground–solving conflicts, giving high-fives, and prompting students to re-enter the building ready to learn. Even on the rare occurrence of downtime, she’s the first to swing by and ask a busy teacher what she can do to help. In a word, Summer is impactful. Her impact at Lakeview is profound, and we are immensely grateful for the difference she makes in the lives of students and teachers every single day.
