Lakeview Elementary School

Lakeview 3rd-grade DLI classes did a very fun Science activity, after learning about “Patterns of Movement” they built a SCRIBBLE ROBOT.

This project is a STEM engineering challenge. A Scribble bot is basically an out-of-balance motor attached to some drawing utensil. As the motor rotates, it vibrates, causing the drawing utensil to jiggle across the paper, making scribble marks.

For the Scribble Bots we used:

  • a plastic cup
  • 4 markers
  • masking tape
  • a small motor
  • 2 AA batteries
  • a piece of hot glue stick
  • a red and a black wire
  • a big piece of paper

We had so much fun!
