Mrs. Rodriguez’s class has been watching their butterflies go through the four stages of metamorphosis. The third grade students watched as their caterpillars hatched out of their eggs and began eating. The caterpillars grew and changed into the pupa or chrysalis (transitional) stage. After waiting patiently (both the students and caterpillars) the butterflies emerged over the past weekend.  The students were delighted to watch their butterflies fly away.
